MIC MUN 2026 brings together young delegates for three days of diplomacy, debate, negotiation and international cooperation at Maputo International College.
Through the Model United Nations experience, students assume the role of country representatives and engage with global issues through structured committee sessions, formal debate, resolution writing and collaborative decision-making.
The conference provides participants with an opportunity to strengthen their public speaking, research, critical thinking, leadership and negotiation skills while developing a deeper understanding of international relations and the work of the United Nations.
Across the three-day programme, delegates will take part in opening and closing ceremonies, committee sessions, moderated and unmoderated caucuses, resolution drafting and presentations.
MIC MUN aims to create a challenging, inclusive and educational environment where students are encouraged to think beyond borders, listen to different perspectives and work together towards practical responses to global challenges.
The first day of MIC MUN 2026 marks the official opening of the conference and introduces delegates to the procedures, expectations and objectives of the Model United Nations experience.
Delegates are welcomed to the conference before proceeding to their respective committees. Initial sessions focus on introductions, opening statements, committee procedures and the first stages of formal debate.
The day is designed to establish the diplomatic environment of the conference while giving participants the opportunity to understand the positions of the countries they represent and begin building alliances with fellow delegates.
